Guidelines

Timed Walk/Run

  • As a competitive twist, participants (individual or team) who choose to finish in one go or by stages with tracking will be eligible for competing for the “Best Timing” awards
  • Participants who decide to participate in the "Timed Walk/Run" MUST indicate this on your registration form
  • Five working days after you have received the registration confirmation, download the TRAILME app, sign up for an account with the SAME email address you used for the registration, choose “Weez Walk 2024” and enroll on the routes that you are going to run / walk
  • You must use the official TRAILME app to track your progress
  • Participants can get an "e-certificate of completion" or "e-certificate of stage finisher" with your finishing time, which will be downloadable in mid March 2024
  • Results of all finishers of Weez Walk 2024 will be announced on the event website in mid March 2024

Individual In One Go

Complete the event by walking/running around the HK Island Coastal Trail in less than 24 hours. Only an anti-clockwise route is acceptable.

Individual by Stages

Complete the event by walking/running around the HK Island Coastal Trail in the registered stages during the event period. Only an anti-clockwise route route is acceptable.

Team In One Go

All team members complete the event by walking/running around the HK Island Coastal Trail in less than 24 hours. Only an anti-clockwise route is acceptable. The slowest individual time will be counted as the team’s result, which will be announced on the event website.

If not all team members have completed the event, but at least one member has completed the event, you will still be given an e-certificate of completion as a team.

Team by Stages

All team members complete the event by walking/running around the HK Island Coastal Trail in the registered stages during the event period. Only an anti-clockwise route is acceptable. The slowest individual time will be counted as the team’s result, which will be announced on the event website.

If not all team members have completed the event, but at least one member has completed the event, you will still be given an e-certificate of completion as a team.

Leisure Walk/Run

  • Participants can run / walk freely within the event period, and you can use your own method to track your progress
  • Even if you cannot complete the stage or the event, you will still receive an e-certificate of participation

Important notices

Registration

  1. By registering, the participant confirms and agrees to abide by all Weez Walk 2024 event rules laid down by The Weez Project and KELY Support Group (the Organisers).
  2. Fees submitted upon registration are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
  3. Multiple registrations count as one entry; additional fee and donations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  4. The Organisers reserve the right to accept, restrict and reject any registration.

Fitness and Safety

  1. Participants must ensure they are physically fit to complete the event without medical assistance.
  2. Be cognizant of the physical exertion and risks involved. Participation is at your own risk and you are responsible for your own safety.
  3. If you feel unwell during the event, stop immediately.
  4. The Organisers is not responsible for any personal injuries or deaths arising from the event. Participants are advised to monitor their physical conditions or seek medical advice to ensure fitness for participation. Such decisions will not be contested.
  5. By registering and participating, you warrant to the Organisers your physical fitness for the event and agree to indemnify the Organisers for any injury or death suffered by you or others, or any property damage resulting from your participation.

Personal Data

  1. Participants should ensure that all personal data provided is accurate.
  2. False declarations or impersonations will result in disqualification and the Organisers reserve the right to take appropriate action against relevant parties.
  3. By registering, you grant the Organisers and their third-party service providers the right to use your name, address, photographs, audio/visual recordings, and likeness for event promotions.

The above terms and conditions are written in both English and Chinese. If there is any conflict in meaning, the English version shall prevail. The Organisers reserve the right to amend any of the above rules or information without prior notice and the right to interpret any of terms and conditions above. In case of any disputes, the decision of the Organisers shall be final.
